Earlier this May, the TeachTek team loaded the LED wall, interactive displays and VR gear, then headed into the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for our very first BMV Leadership Conference. And what a welcome we received.
Hosted by Business Managers Victoria (BMV), this year’s conference marked the organisation’s 50th anniversary and brought together more than 350 education support professionals from across the state. It was a milestone event full of connection and forward-thinking conversations. A standout opportunity to showcase what we’re all about.
A Stand with Something for Everyone
From small upgrades to full AV solutions, we came ready to talk about how the right tech can help schools run smarter, smoother and with less troubleshooting in the mix. Here’s what we had on show:
Digital Signage Displays: Designed to streamline school-wide communication with easy-to-update content for reception areas, staff rooms, outdoor displays and more.
Microsoft Teams Room Setups: Built for hybrid meetings and remote learning, these setups make it easy for staff to collaborate and communicate, whether they’re in the room or online.
Interactive Classroom Displays: Bright, responsive and purpose-built for education, our interactive panels are ideal for dynamic lessons, teamwork and classroom engagement.
LED Video Walls: These aren’t just for show. They’re tough enough for gymnasiums, large enough for assemblies and vibrant enough for digital signage that actually gets noticed. Our impact-protected LED displays are also ideal for outdoor signage or large indoor spaces.
RealityTEK - VR and AR Learning Tools: Our end-to-end immersive learning solution includes virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) hardware, age-appropriate software and professional learning to ensure schools can implement the tech with confidence. It’s designed to support inclusive, experiential learning, not just the novelty of a headset.

Conversations That Count
Beyond the tech, it was the conversations that made this event. We connected with school business managers, IT leaders and admin staff who shared what’s working, what’s tricky and what they’re really looking for when it comes to tech that supports teaching and operations alike.
We covered everything from classroom upgrades to signage strategies. And yes, there were cookies. There may also have been a Teach TEK popper ball or two floating around by the end of the day... if you know, you know.
What We Loved About BMV
The chance to be part of BMV’s 50th anniversary celebration. A huge milestone and a reminder of how much support staff contribute to school communities.
Seeing the buzz in the exhibition hall, where over 80 exhibitors brought products, services and solutions tailored for the unique needs of Victorian schools.
First Time’s Just the Beginning
While this was our first BMV Leadership Conference, it definitely won’t be our last. We loved the chance to be part of such a values-aligned event, and we’re already thinking about how to top the popper ball craze next year (No promises, but we’ve got ideas 😉).
