From Patchwork to Purpose: A Classroom Reimagined

We get a little excited when someone yells “makeoverrrr!” and hands us the reins. Craigmore High School gave us full creative scope to rethink one of their old classrooms, including the tech, and the structure around it. The space had been added to over the years, leaving a mix of layered whiteboards, surfaces and wiring that didn’t quite make sense anymore.
With that in mind, we worked with the existing wooden frame, rebuilding around it to create a cleaner, more cohesive setup. Plastering, painting, custom framework and joinery were all part of the process. We rebuilt the wall to work as one unified piece, housing both the new AV system and a clean, functional whiteboard setup.
We didn't get a time-lapse, so think 90s makeover montage.. but for a classroom wall.
Here’s what we delivered:
Custom framework and joinery built to suit the space, not just fill it
Fresh plaster and paintwork to give the room a unified look
Old hardware removed, with all cabling safely hidden
Integrated whiteboard and device shelf, keeping things accessible without adding clutter
The Tech Setup
Everything in the room was chosen to support daily teaching. Nothing over-complicated. Nothing that gets in the way.
What’s installed:
75" Philips E-Line UHD Display: With 20-touch capability, Android built in, and crystal-clear visuals, it’s designed to keep up with the school day.
Vivi Wireless Casting: Teachers and students can share to the screen without plugging anything in. Simple and seamless.
Aver AF-SAA5 Streaming Audio Box: Microphones and speakers help everyone hear clearly, no matter where they’re sitting.
Hearing Uplift Device: Helps amplify teacher voice and classroom audio evenly across the space. Great for clarity and accessibility.
Wall-mounted AV joinery: Clean, practical, and built to last, with a laminate finish and integrated whiteboard.
A Setup That Matches the School's Vision
Craigmore High School is clear in its focus: student voice, real-world learning, and supporting young people to navigate a changing world. Their vision to “inspire and empower our community to prosper through innovation”, shapes the way they approach both teaching and learning spaces.
This classroom now fits that mindset. It’s flexible, accessible and doesn’t demand a tech degree to get through a lesson. It works quietly in the background, so teachers can focus on teaching, not figuring out which input the screen’s mysteriously on today.
