SASBA 2025 was another event worth our time. We’ve had our names on plenty of conference badges last year: SASBA, SLASA, SAASLA (it’s giving Acronym Soup… or if you read it aloud, Harry Potter speaking Parseltongue), but each conference is unique and this one delivered. So let's get into it.
About SASBA
SASBA (South Australian School Business Association) has a long-standing history of supporting key financial decision-makers in South Australian public schools - shaping policy at the department level, delivering professional learning and networking opportunities, and creating pathways to build and strengthen partnerships with school suppliers.
This Year’s Theme? The Future of AI.
The 2025 conference focused on "The Future of AI: Challenges, Opportunities and Predictions" - cutting through the noise to explore what AI actually means for schools today and tomorrow.
Teach TEK at Stand 43
We came ready to go, and so did you. At Stand 43, our team showcased the latest from our integrated AV range:
Philip's Interactive Displays and LED's, thanks to Aurora Signage.
Digital signage for reception areas and school-wide communications
Wireless Casting Solutions - Vivi and Screenbeam.
VR learning stations
and that's about all we could carry.. see more here.
Our Shoot a Hoop challenge was an absolute hit, with staff from across the state stepping up to the line, revealing some hidden basketball talents and plenty of team camaraderie. It was a simple and fun way to open up some great conversations about what schools really need.
Shoutout to the legends
Well done to Stacey from Northern Adelaide Senior College who won our Desk Makeover Prize featuring vibrant floral stationary by Australian Artist Anna Blatman. Have a look at Anna's colourful work here.
And to our friends from Riverland, thanks for the chats, the hugs, and, emptying the cookie bowl. No gatekeeping here. We get our branded cookies from the lovely Breanne, local mum and fondant vanilla sugar cookie extraordinaire @spencerandcocookies.
'Til Next Time
After two days at SASBA, we went back to our office with fresh perspectives, and a notebook full of ideas that survived beyond the initial post-conference enthusiasm.
Same time next year? Bring your A-game.
